Ultra Music Festival Returns to South Africa

Ultra Music Festival is a renowned, independent festival, celebrated throughout the world. The massive celebration of electronic music is coming back to South Africa’s shores for a sixth edition in March next year.

Previously, Ultra has graced South America, the United States, Asia, Europe and of course, Africa! Ultra, which started in Miami twenty years ago, combines the most diverse electronic talent with the most technologically advanced, large-scale festival productions in the world.

The Ultra brands have pioneered the live stream experience with ‘ULTRA LIVE’ and the audio broadcasting platform ‘UMF RADIO.’ UMF FILMS’ collaboration with FINAL KID has seen some of the most visually breath-taking festival after-movies in the music space, including a feature-length documentary exploring the explosion of dance music, entitled CAN U FEEL IT™.

Ultra South Africa, undoubtably Africa’s largest electronic music festival, announced their 2019 show dates and the official 5th anniversary after-movie, to remind everyone just how special this incredible event really is. The high energy footage starts off in beautiful Cape Town, following the majestic scenery of the Mother City that make this place so special, before taking us into the Cape Town show of Ultra South Africa 2018.

Featuring Carnage, Afrojack, the Ultra Angels and some gorgeous Ultranauts having the time of their lives, the after-movie takes us right back into that moment in February 2018 when Ultra celebrated SA’s 5th anniversary with style and flair.

The movie then takes us to the monster of a show that is Joburg, with 2018 headliner, Armin van Buuren and the thousands upon thousands of fans showing him their undying love and appreciation.

The first headline act for 2019 has been announced: The Chainsmokers! They will be making their way to South Africa to perform a full live show.
