Shannon Correia

Some of my earliest memories are of my parents taking my sister and I on road trips before the sun was up. We travelled far and wide, discovering most of South Africa by my teenage years. Staring out in Pretoria, my family then moved to the Nelspruit where I grew up. After high school, I decided to study a commercial fashion degree in one of my favourite city’s in the world: Johannesburg. I was then selected as one of 24 students to study Honours in Journalism at Wits. It was a course that taught me a lot and developed my passion for writing and actively pursuing my curiosities in the world. Somewhere along the lines, I started a blog, writing about fashion, travel and opinion pieces (as an advocate activist). It is a platform where I create and share content, including my 2017 gap year. I was fortunate enough to travel to six countries: Morocco, Spain, Portugal, France, London and live in my treasured Italy. Now, I’m in Cape Town, gaining experience as a Features Writer for TCB Media, where I aim to make a name for myself in the industry.
